For Every First Daughter who is always the one in charge…
20 seats only · Nov 6th, 2026 · Abuja
“You’re the firstborn. You should know better.”
Please stop acting like they handed me a manual when I was born.
“Your siblings are your responsibility.”
They’re my siblings, not my children. Sometimes I’d like to just be their sister.
“You are the strong one.”
Who said that? I’d like a word with them. I’m tired. I just got very good at hiding it.
“Nobody can do it like you.”
At this point, please let somebody else do it.
“But you’re the first daughter.”
Yes. I know. I was there when I was born.
You’ve heard at least three of these this month. You smiled through all of them.
You learned to read the room before you learned to read well.
You’ve been the second mother, the peacekeeper, the example, the one who “will understand.”
You’ve been called strong so many times that nobody noticed when you were tired.
Everyone says “ask your sister” or “ask your first daughter,” and it’s always you they mean.
You never applied for the job. Nobody asked if you wanted it.
“Be strong” was never a choice you made. It was a role you were handed.
So we planned a day where you don’t have to be any of that.
Just you, a table, and a whole day with your name on it..
WHAT THE BRUNCH IS
The Dear First Daughter Brunch takes the conversation out of the comment section and into a room, with your people and something good to eat.
What To Expect:
You arrive, and you’re welcomed.A warm check-in, a refreshment in your hand, music playing and a gift waiting for you. You haven’t done a thing yet.
You make your Reconnection Board.Guided prompts, cutouts, images and stationery, and a quiet hour to remember what you love, what you want more of, and what you’re ready to make room for again.
You make your own linen spray. Choose your mood: Rest. Fresh Start. Softness. Joy. Home. Main Character. Blend it, bottle it and name it. It’s yours.
You eat, laugh and meet your people.Good food, good music, photos, games if you want them, and other first born daughters who understand without a long explanation.
You’re celebrated. Surprises, gifts and a closing moment made for the first daughters in the room.
You leave with your board, your spray and your intention. So the feeling goes home with you.
Everything is taken care of. All you do is arrive.
Not a first daughter, but you love one? Bring her. Buy her seat. Tell her she’s seen and appreciated.
Good. You’ll walk in as a stranger and leave with new friends who understand you. You also won’t be the one organising anything. For once, someone else has done it.
The day is made for first daughters, and the room is full of them. If you love one, you’re welcome to bring her.
You always have people depending on you. That’s why you need this. Four hours, and the world will survive without you.
It’s a creative, fun day, not therapy. Sharing is always voluntary. Make your board, make your spray, enjoy the moment.
You don’t need to be. Prompts, materials and guidance are all provided. You just show up and enjoy it.
Linen sprays are pre-formulated, diluted and made for fabric, not skin, and the process is supervised.
You don’t have to plan it, organise it or take care of anybody. Come and enjoy yourself, and remember there is so much more to you than everything you do for others.
